TOYO Machinery on Show All Electric Injection Molding Machine SI-230-7GS With Runma Robot at PlastImagen 2025

TOYO on show their new all electric injection molding machine SI-230-7GS with turn-key solutions of lock-box injection molding and have the box and lid picked by a Runma high speed 3 axis servo injection robot at PlastImagen 2025.

TOYO SI-230-7GS is the 7th all electric injection molding machine with clamping force 2300kN and optional injection speed from 200mm/s ~ 500mm/s for the precise injection of thick wall parts or high speed injection of the thin-wall containers. The solution on show PlastImagen 2025 is a turn-key solution of Lock-Lock box which has the box and lid of the box integrated into one mold. The advantage of this design is that it will ensure the same parameters of box and lid injection and ensure a perfect match of them.

In the show of PlastImagen 2025 TOYO chose to have the box and lid picked with a Rumma high speed 3 axis servo injection robot. With a mold which integrated the box and lid the producer of the Lock-Lock and easily upgrad it to an automation system of which chan either stack the box and lids to have them packed in bundle or have the box and lid locked automatically and packed as one set.

The more rewarding investment would be to have the TOYO SI-230-7GS equipped with a G370F or FH400F injection unit to increase the injection speed of it up to 330/500 mm/s as a high speed all electric injection molding machine to work with SWITEK SW8 series high speed IML robot for the production of small size IML Yogurt cups. With an injection unit of FH400F the TOYO SI-230-7GS + SWITEK SW8 IML robot combination is possible to work in a total cycle time of around 5s, which would be a rewarding investment to the producer of the IML Yogurt cups.

    The detailed functional units of the testing tubes collecting sysstem:
  • (1) Box Loading Robot: Pick the sorted testing tubes and load them in the box.
  • (2) Testing Tubes Receiving Arm: Receive the testing tubes from the picking arm (6).
